My greatest life decision was trusting Jesus Christ as my Savior. The next best decision was to marry Carol Rader. Carol and I are blessed to have two sons, two daughters-in-law and six grandchildren.
I graduated from Georgetown College in 1974 with a BA in religion and psychology. In 1977, I graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity in pastoral counseling. My doctoral studies at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary from 1995-1997 focused on church growth.
After serving churches in youth work, God led me to be a pastor. From 1979 – 2010 I was privileged to pastor Bluffton Baptist Church, Bluffton, Ohio. In 2010 God directed me to serve multiple Southern Baptist churches as the Associational Missionary for the Southwestern Baptist Association in Hamilton, OH.
My personal mission is to bring God and Jesus glory and joy as I work with churches to multiply and mature disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Each week I am excited to interact with pastors and churches as they work to share the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
